We started tonight’s episode of Survivor season 38 off with a look at the remaining castaways after Eric was voted out. It looks like Aurora put a huge target on her back because Wardog has everyone agreeing that she needs to go next.

It is time for the first immunity challenge of the night. The castaways will have a bar resting on their shoulders and it will put the castaways in a squatting position. If they go too low or too high, an urn will tip, put out their fire and they will be eliminated. Jeff tells them if they feel safe, they can feast on beer and pizza. Victoria, Kelley, Lauren, and Ron are all eating instead of competing. Meanwhile, the others are hoping to win immunity. Wardog, Gavin, and Julie are all out quickly. David, Rick, and Aurora are the only ones left.

Rick is out and it’s a one on one between David and Aurora. David drops and Aurora wins immunity which means she won’t be the target for the first tribal council tonight! She is feeling very good about herself right now. Julie isn’t happy that Aurora won immunity at all. After the challenge, it looks like the target has shifted to David. Wardog is happy about this but knows that in a season full of blindsides, he isn’t completely safe.

David and Rick have realized that they are going to be in danger so they talk to Julie. After their conversation with Julie, is wondering if going with Wardog is best for their game. She doesn’t think so, but when she goes to talk to Ron, he seems to want to stick with their six-person alliance with Wardog, Kelley and the others. It really could go either way. Who will go home first tonight? Wardog or David? We are about to find out!

The votes are in and before they are read, Jeff asks if anyone wants to play an idol. No one plays an idol and the votes are:

  • David
  • Wardog
  • David
  • Wardog
  • David
  • David
  • David
  • David

With six votes, that’s enough for David to be voted out. When he gets to the fork in the road, he decides to go to the EOE and wait for an opportunity to get back into the game. Meanwhile, the next day, there is a message in a bottle for each of the castaways there. David is the first to go look for whatever this clue is to this advantage that is hidden somewhere on the island. A bunch of the others start to look for the advantage, but David is the first to find it which allows him to send an advantage to someone still in the game.

It is time for the second immunity challenge of the night. The castaways will have to try and get five balls into dimples on a paddle. Rick comes forward and tells Jeff he got a gift from David and it says he will have an advantage during this challenge. Rick’s advantage is that he will only have to land four balls into dimples. The first castaway to get all their balls into dimples on the paddle is Rick and he is safe from elimination tonight.

When they get back to camp, the alliances start to talk and it’s starting to look like Kelley might be in danger of going next and not Aurora. However, Ron needs to be convinced of it and Kelley has an idol. Aurora uses her advantage to try and gain trust with Ron. She gives it to him in hopes that he will trust her and keep her around.

It is time for the final TC of the night! The castaways sit down, the jurors are brought in and they talk about blindsides and the strength of the alliances. It is time to vote and when the voting is over, Jeff tallies them up! Jeff asks if anyone wants to play an idol and no one uses an idol! The votes are:

  • Aurora
  • Kelley
  • Aurora
  • Aurora
  • Aurora
  • Kelley
  • Kelley
  • Kelley
  • Kelley

With five votes, Kelley Wentworth is voted out! She also decides to go to the EOE and fight for a chance back into the game! Are you a fan of The Amazing Race? Join us in a few moments for our The Amazing Race live recap right here!
