Survivor Live Recap: Season 38 Episode 7 – I’m the Puppet Master

Last week on Survivor: Edge of Extinction, the merge happened, a castaway returned to the game from the EOE and another castaway was voted off the island. If you missed what happened, feel free to check out our Survivor recap right here to get all caught up! Tonight on Survivor season 38, we will watch as the puppet master continues to try and pull the strings of the game and exhaustion starts to take it’s toll on another.

We started the episode off with the castaways at camp talking about Joe leaving and the other two castaways that quit EOE. Meanwhile, on the EOE, Joe is talking about how hard it is to be on this island and he is very emotional.

Back on the main island, it is time for the reward challenge! They will be playing for Chinese takeout for the first team of 6 to finish the challenge. They have to retrieve puzzle pieces, get them back to shore and assemble the puzzle in order to win. The castaways are split between two teams, blue and yellow, by random draw. Blue is the first to get their puzzle pieces back to shore for their puzzle makers. Yellow is right behind them with their puzzle pieces. Blue manages to get the puzzle together. Aurora, Rick, Wardog, Eric, Julia and Victoria all win Chinese takeout!

Lauren is very emotional about not getting the reward, Kelley is trying to mend the burnt bridge between her and David. Wardog is trying to talk to Rick about joining the old Lesu tribe. Rick tells Wardog that he doesn’t want to work with them because they have continuously stabbed him in the back. He can’t trust them at all. Rick then goes to talk to David about the conversation and when the conversation doesn’t go the way he wants it to, he asks David for the other half of the Idol. David isn’t going to just hand that over to him though.

On the EOE, the castaways get bottles with a clue in it, Aubry was the one who figured out the clue and it leads her to the practice area. She also finds an envelope with an extra vote in it that she can send to anyone still in the game.

Back on the main island, it’s time for the immunity challenge! The castaways will have to balance on their toes with a block wedged between the top of the frame and their head. The last person standing with their block still between their head and the top of the frame will win immunity. Wardog is the first one out, Eric is out second, Gavin was third. Kelley drops, Rick drops, Julia is out and they are down to six!

Ron drops, Julie is out, they are down to David, Victoria, Aurora, and Lauren. Lauren says that she is dizzy, but is still standing steady. Victoria is completely still. David drops, Lauren passes out and medical is called in immediately. Aurora is trying to make a deal with Victoria. Lauren comes to, meanwhile, Aurora is still trying to convince Victoria that she needs this win in order to trust her group. Victoria wobbles and drops. Aurora wins individual immunity.

When the castaways get back to camp, Aurora finds a parchment in her bag. She finds that she has been given the extra vote. She is going to hold onto the extra vote for now but is more than excited about having this advantage. Ron and Eric are trying to convince their group to get out Kelley, Wardog is working on people to try and get them to vote out one of the others. Eric and Ron aren’t realizing that they are pushing their allies away rather than keeping them together. Julie wants to take out Ron or Eric out and Gavin is onboard with this idea, but Victoria thinks it’s too soon. So what are they going to do?

It is time for Tribal! Here are the votes! do they do something big?
