We started tonight’s episode of Survivor with a look at the cast of this season sitting on the stage. We then get a quick look at everything that happened throughout the season with those castaways. With Kara, Mike, Alison, Angelina, Nick, and Davie remaining in the final 6!
Here is a quick rundown of what happened tonight on the Survivor season 37 finale!
Hidden Immunity Idol:
Angelina found a clue early in the episode and the clue told her to climb a ladder that is buried in the sand, but while she is unburying the ladder, she drops the clue. She doesn’t realize this until she goes to scope the area. She figures that if she can’t find the clue, she needs to go look for the idol now so that no one else finds the clue and gets the idol. She tried to find it, but couldn’t. She decides that she is going to come back to it later on.
Immunity and Reward Challenge:
The first person to finish the challenge will not only be in the final 5, but they will be able to enjoy spaghetti! They have to use a ball on a rope to unlock a puzzle staircase which will lead them to another puzzle that they have to complete. The first to get to their puzzle is Kara, then Davie, Mike, Angelina, Nick and finally Alison. The puzzle at the top is a 63 piece puzzle of this season’s logo and the first castaway to put it together is Nick! He gets to take two castaways with him to the spaghetti and he chooses Angelina and Mike.
Chats During Reward Feast:
Nick, Mike, and Angelina are talking about who they should get rid of. They think that it should be Alison, but Mike is worried that she might have an idol. Angelina then opens up to them and tells them that she found the clue for the idol, but lost the clue. They all break from eating, Mike keeps his wine in hand though, and they all go help Angelina find the idol. She is able to find the idol with the help of Mike and Nick.
Back at Camp:
Angelina and Nick really want Alison gone, but Mike wants to get Davie out first. He knows that Alison will vote for Davie, Kara will also, but he needs a fourth vote. He goes to Angelina and tells her that Davie is a bigger threat than Alison is, but it looks like she still really wants Alison out first.
First Tribal Council:
There is a lot of talk about Alison and Davie being nervous about being voted out. They were the only ones who had votes last week other than Christian. It is time for the votes to be read and here they are:
With 4 votes, Davie becomes the next member of the jury. On his way out he tells them that he has no hard feelings and whoever orchestrated this will get his vote for the million dollars. It’s up to someone else to make a bigger move!
After Tribal Council:
Nick is pissed that he got blindsided at Tribal Council with the vote. Angelina tells him that Mike really wanted Davie out and Nick is still angry that Mike did that. Mike goes to talk to Nick and tells him that Alison is the next one on the chopping block, but Mike tells us that he plans to target Nick if he can before Nick can turn on him.
Immunity Challenge #2:
In this challenge they will be perched on a pole in the ocean, they will use a bucket to fill a chute in order to get a key. The key will unlock puzzle pieces and the first castaway to complete the puzzle will win immunity and a spot in the final 4! First Alison, then Nick, then Kara, then Mike and finally Angelina get their puzzle pieces. The first one to get their puzzle together and win immunity is Nick again!
Back at Camp:
Angelina really wants to make this Tribal Council dramatic. She wants Mike to convince Kara and Alison to vote Angelina so that Angelina has a real reason to use her idol. However, Kara plans to try and get Mike out though. Alison is on board, but they have to get Nick to agree to do it also, which isn’t really in his gameplan until Alison goes to talk to Nick. Nick realizes that Mike might be the bigger target and he has the potential to beat Nick in the end. Meanwhile, Angelina had planted a fake idol for Alison to find.
Second Tribal Council:
There is a lot of talk about the blindside vote to get Davie out. Angelina also talks about how Angelina and Alison have been the names mentioned. It is time to find out how the votes landed and who will be the next member of the jury! First, Alison plays her false idol and is told that her idol is indeed fake. Angelina then decides to play her idol for her even though she is certain that she has the votes to get Alison out.
With three votes, Alison is the next member of the jury and that leaves Nick, Kara, Angelina, and Mike in the final 4! One more immunity challenge left!
Final Immunity Challenge:
In this challenge, the castaways will put a ball into a metal track, in different intervals, they will be adding balls into their track. If one of their balls falls out and hits the ground, they are out. The last castaway standing will win. The first castaway eliminated is Angelina, then Mike, and then Kara. Nick wins immunity for the third time in a row!
Nick has made it to the final 3! Which one will he bring to final 3 with him? Who will have to battle it out to the third spot? We will find out soon enough!
Everyone is telling Nick that they can’t win the game against him. After thinking it over, Nick tells everyone that he is going to take Angelina with him to the end and then Mike and Kara will have to fight it out in fire for the final spot. Kara and Mike are practicing their fire making skills and Kara is pretty good at it, but Mike is super nervous and worried that his nerves might get the best of him.
Final 4 Tribal Council:
Nick does take Angelina with him to the final 3 which means that Mike and Kara will have to battle it out. They will both have to build a fire high enough and hot enough to burn through a rope and drop a flag. The first one to do so will be in the Final 3 next to Nick and Angelina. Kara gets the first flame, but it goes out. Mike then gets a small flame and then starts building around it. Kara gets another flame, but it goes out. Meanwhile, Mike’s flame is still not high enough. Kara continues to struggle and Mike manages to get his fire high enough to burn through the rope. Mike takes the final spot in the final three and Kara takes the final spot on the jury!
Final 3 Tribal Council:
It is time for the Q&A with the final 3. They are asked for examples of how they outwitted the others and Nick goes first. John then asks a follow-up question and when Nick was done answering, the jury wanted to hear from Mike next. Well, Angelina cut him off and started talking about the moves she made including the “selfless” act of getting everyone rice and Davie calls her out for how she keeps bringing up this “selfless” act.
It is now time for the Outplay portion. Dan pretty much calls Mike out for being lazy at camp and not helping out as much as he could have. Davie then asks Nick and Angelina to tell them how they have characteristics of the other group. Angelina tells them that she had to muster up a lot of courage to do a lot of the challenges and look for that idol. Nick tells everyone that he had the intelligence of a Goliath and the ability to connect with the others.
In the Outlast portion, they talk about themselves and how they felt they played the game. How their personal lives played a part in their gameplay and how they thought they got this far in the game.
With 6 votes Nick Wilson has won Survivor season 37! Congratulations to Nick! Angelina didn’t get a single vote from any of the Jury Members.
