Previously On…9-1-1 Season 1 and What to Expect on Season 2!

This Sunday and Monday we will be able to enjoy a special two night premiere of 9-1-1 on Fox! Forgot what happened on season 1 of 9-1-1? Keep reading for a refresher of season one and a preview of what you an expect in season two!

In season one of 9-1-1, we watched as Athena’s marriage fell apart after her husband confessed to her that he was gay. Throughout the season she struggled with juggling her life as a cop and her personal life. Bobby struggled early in the season with his sobriety, but with the help of fellow firefighters, Buck and Hen, he managed to pick up the pieces from his past and learned to cope in other ways.

Hen and her wife has some issues throughout the season in their marriage. Chimney got into a serious accident and ended up with a rebar pipe in his head. After a long recovery, Chimney was able to return to his job at the firehouse and met the woman of his dream, or so he thought.

Abby and Buck began to get very close after a riveting call brought them together. When Abby’s mother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, ran away, Abby got Buck to help her search. After her mother was found safe and sound, Abby and Buck went on their first official date. Their date turned got turned upside down when Buck started to choke on a piece of food and Abby was forced to give him a traeciotomy right there in the restaurant.

The season ended with Abby’s mother passing and Abby deciding that it was time for her to travel and see the world for a bit. Buck tells her that he loves her and that he will be there waiting for her. After the season closed, we found out that Connie Britton, the actress who plays Abby, had decided not to return for 9-1-1 season 2.

This season we will watch as the first responders are put to new tests in their professional lives and their personal lives. Also, Jennifer Love Hewitt joins the cast as Maddie, a 9-1-1 dispatcher.
